I am a Reeves born in the UK, and now living in the States.
My brother is our family tree expert, and it seems that we MAY not be all that related to the bulk of the Reeves in the US. We have traced out family back to the 1500s, nearly always in the midlands.
None of the Reeves we have traced in our tree seem to correspond to any of the Reeves that came to the States.
Our DNA does not correspond either.
And if we are sprung from the French Reeves coming to Dorset, we must have moved North very fast, and become poor very quickly!!

Hi,
You may descend from the Reeves that were already in England prior to the Rives from France. If my memory serves me, I believe there was a Reeves line that was in Sussex England all the way back to the Normany invasion.
